What is the sync marketplace?
The sync marketplace is where music meets moving images at OGRECORDS™: on one side artists who unlock their released tracks for advertising, film, TV and games. On the other side buyers — agencies, productions, studios, brands — looking for music for a specific project. OGRECORDS™ brings both together, handles offer, contract, payment and delivery, and takes 15 % commission only when a licence actually comes about.
For artists: unlocking a track
Every track you released through OGRECORDS™ can be unlocked for licence requests in the dashboard under “Sync”. The prerequisite is a complete rights profile: you confirm that you own the master, who controls the composition, that no uncleared samples are included, which uses are allowed (advertising, film, TV, game, social, trailer, corporate), which topics you exclude, and at least two moods. From that a preview with an audible watermark is created automatically — that is all buyers get to hear, never your master. Unlocking is non-exclusive, free, and can be withdrawn at any time. For every concrete request you decide yourself whether to accept.
For buyers: submitting a brief
Anyone looking for music for a project describes it at /sync/brief in about three minutes: type of project, mood, genre, budget range, deadline, term, territory and whether exclusivity is required. No account is needed. OGRECORDS™ shortlists matching tracks, obtains the artists’ agreement in principle and sends a personal link with previews within two business days. There the buyer marks with one click which titles are of interest — only the later offer is binding.
How a deal runs
After the buyer’s interest, OGRECORDS™ aligns fee and terms with the artist and sends an offer: type of use, media, term, territory, exclusivity and fee. Once the buyer accepts and the artist confirms, contract, payment and the delivery of the watermark-free files with a cue sheet follow. The artist’s share lands in the payout like any other income and is distributed according to the stored royalty splits.
