Editorial playlist pitching. Direct to the curators.
We build a curated pitch deck for every release — mood, reference tracks, market story, pitch hooks — and submit it through the editorial pitch channels at Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal and Amazon Music. Spotify-for-Artists pitch runs in parallel.
What our pitch deck contains.
Editorial-grade pitch deck
1-pager per track: hook, mood mapping, three reference tracks from existing editorial playlists, market story and release strategy.
Direct editorial delivery
Manual delivery through the DSPs' editorial pitch channels — not the anonymous public submission form that hundreds of releases per day are stuck in.
Spotify-for-Artists pitch
We generate the S4A pitch in parallel (pre-save-ready, genre/mood tags optimized) and submit it 4 weeks before release.
Placement reporting
Within 14 days after release you get a reporting doc: actual editorial placements the track received, plus Spotify-for-Artists data for the first days of performance.
Four steps to a pitch.

Fill out the brief
10-minute brief in the wizard: genre, mood, reference tracks, story, market goal, release date (min. 4 weeks lead time).
We build the pitch
Our curation team builds the pitch deck and finalizes it with you — typically 5 business days.
Delivery & reporting
Pitch goes to all relevant editorial teams. Reporting within 14 days after release.
Clear prices. No success commission.

What editorial pitching can realistically deliver.
Editorial slots are not guaranteed — no serious distributor can promise that. But we build pitches that are taken seriously in the curation community. Realistic hitrate: around 5% of pitched releases land at least one editorial slot, tier-1 placements (New Music Friday, Today's Top Hits, mint, fresh finds) considerably less. Prerequisites: solid production quality, clear story, lead time of at least 4 weeks.
No guarantee on editorial listing — placements are decided exclusively by DSP editorial teams.
Direct to the curators — how editorial pitching works with OGRECORDS™.
Editorial playlist pitching means your track doesn't land in the anonymous public submission form, but as a curated, editorial-grade pitch deck delivered straight to the editorial teams at Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal and Amazon Music. OGRECORDS™ builds a deck per release with hook, mood mapping, reference tracks and market story and submits it manually through the right channels — on top of that we generate the Spotify-for-Artists pitch, which runs in parallel.
The difference is the model. Playlist pitching is an optional add-on that leaves your standard distribution untouched: you pay a one-time $50 per song, with no success commission on the extra streams editorial slots bring in. It requires at least 3 weeks lead time before the release date. As curators respond, you see right in the dashboard who likes or passes on the song.
What this means for you as an artist: an editorial slot is never guaranteed, and no serious distributor can promise one — the decision rests entirely with the DSP curator teams. But we deliver pitches that are taken seriously in the curation community, and we tell you honestly when your lead time is too tight. How pitching fits into the rest of your roll-out is laid out on /release-plan.
