Connect OGRECORDS to Claude or ChatGPT
With the OGRECORDS connector you ask an AI assistant about your catalog directly: which releases are live, how many streams a song had, what is on your balance. The assistant only reads. It cannot submit, change or delete anything.
What you need
- an OGRECORDS account (free, sign up here)
- Claude (claude.ai, desktop or mobile) or ChatGPT
Connect in Claude
- Quickest: open OGRECORDS in the Claude directory and click Connect. Continue with step 3.
- Alternatively: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name:
OGRECORDS. Server URL:https://www.og-records.com/api/agent/mcp - Click Connect. You land on our sign-in page. Sign in with your OGRECORDS account.
- The consent screen shows which account you are signed in with and what Claude may read. Untick anything you do not want to share and click Allow access.
Connect in ChatGPT
Open OGRECORDS in ChatGPT (or search ChatGPT for "OGRECORDS") and click Connect. The flow is the same: sign in to OGRECORDS, then the consent screen.
What the assistant may read
| Area | Example questions |
|---|---|
| Releases, tracks and distribution status | "Which of my releases are live?" "Is my new album in the stores yet?" |
| Stream counts | "How many streams did my last single get in the past 30 days?" |
| Artists | "Which artists are on my roster?" |
| Smart links | "Give me the link to my newest release." |
| Balance and payouts | "How much balance do I have right now?" |
The assistant also answers questions about OGRECORDS itself (pricing, how distribution works, help centre) without needing your account.
Stream counts are a floor: YouTube and TikTok are missing from the data, and stores report the last 24 to 72 hours late.
What the assistant cannot do
- submit, change, take down or delete releases
- see your password, bank details, ID documents or contracts
- access other users' accounts
Disconnect
Under Settings → Connected apps in your OGRECORDS dashboard you see every connected app and can disconnect it with one click. Access ends immediately. You can also remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
Privacy
You start the connection yourself, and the consent screen is where you decide what is shared. What happens to your data is described in our privacy policy, section 11, paragraph "Verbundene Apps" (connected apps).
For developers
The connector is an MCP server (Streamable HTTP) with OAuth 2.1, PKCE and dynamic client registration. Technical details are in auth.md.
